Seeing as you’re all feeling festive at the moment and melting with Christmas joy and squishy happiness we thought you’d appreciate this sickly sweet beanbag photo that acheived ‘Picture of the Day’ in the Daily Telegraph a few weeks back.. one, two, three… awwww. mean looking bean bag folk
These bean bag people are part of an art installation called ‘The Last Conversation Piece’ at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington DC, USA. One day when JUMBO go global we’ll buy these and put them on the JUMBO HQ front lawn (painted cyan, magenta, yellow and black of course).

little fluffy bean bag buddies
A truly Jumbo style collection of our cute bean bag cousins, the Beanie Babies. ‘Rocket’ the Blue Jay, ‘Pinky’ the Flamingo, ‘Woodstock’ and ‘Smudge’ the Dog are amongst the 1777 total number of Beanie Babies ever made, although there are only 348 currently available.. well you learn something every day so they say.

As you’ll no doubt have noticed the world of Jumbo exists in CMYK, so it’s as though this desktop wallpaper was made for us. It’s definately heading for any available screen at Jumbo HQ, and then I wonder if it’s available in in real-life rather than virtual wallpaper too.. I can feel an office re-vamp coming on.

how old is the bean bag
Ever wonder about who your ancestors were? Well Jumbo got to pondering.. It turns out that beanbags are relative youngsters in the furniture world – first appearing in the 1960′s with lava lamps and colour TVs.
Starting out life with leather covers, they gradually branched out into soft fabrics and I’m sure went through a whole range of garish patterns in the 80′s and 90′s before arriving at the more refined furniture item of the modern day.
